Gjendesheim Mountain Lodge is located by lake Gjende in the heart of Jotunheimen, and on its doorstep are miles of way-marked trails and spectacular mountain peaks like Besseggen.

At the lodge, you are served delicious food and drink based on local produce from Norwegian suppliers. After a day in the mountain with plenty of fresh air and spectacular nature, we aim to make the meal an equally grand experience.

Gjendesheim serves dishes based on tradition, culture, and the mountain’s own resources. Through close collaboration with local suppliers of organic produce, the flavours we offer are authentic and pure. Food served at Gjendesheim has its own history for our guests to enjoy.

Gjendesheim has introduced several measures to protect the climate and the environment in the hope that you will join us in looking after the mountain and planet earth for ourselves and for generations to come. The lodge has 185 beds in total, and offers dormitories as well as rooms sleeping 1, 2 and 4 people.
