Brimi Sæter has a farm café which is open from around 20 June to 20 August. Our animals are then taken to the mountain pastures, and we open up for accommodation and our signature 4-course “Skråpå-tå” menu served every evening at 19.00. Accommodation is available in the farm house, in the barn, or in a Sami tent in the yard.

Our cheese factory is open to visitors daily, and it is possible to meet the animals. The café offers farm classics such as sour-cream waffles, sour-cream porridge/cured meats, and a traditional meat broth served with delicious home-baked bread.

Brimi Sæter produces and sells traditional farm products from Gudbrandsdalen. Farm cheese, butter, cured sausages, salami, pork, lamb, veal, and beef are some of the products you can buy and taste at Brimi Sæter. The farm cheese has won prestigious awards at the World Cheese Championships in Bergen in 2018 and the national championships in 2016.

Bringing animals to the mountain pastures in summer has been a crucial part of Norwegian agriculture for centuries, and mountain dairy farming is an important element of Norwegian cultural heritage. Brimi Sæter has been run as a traditional farm for as long as anyone can remember. All the animals at the farm are important to us, and each and every one deserves a good life. At the mountain farm, they have plenty of space, fresh air, and excellent care.

Brimi Sæter is renowned for its 4-course “Skråpå-tå” menu. As you are seated along the long-table in the enchanting barn, your food is served on home-forged table-top griddles. You melt your own cheese, and are served delicious produce from the farm.
