Øyens Hjemmebakeri is a bakery run by two enterprising sisters offering homemade bakery products based on grandmother’s recipes. In the heart of Gudbrandsdalen, 30 griddle plates are running at full heat to satisfy the demand for flatbread and local griddle cakes. 

Bakery products from Øyen – flatbread, griddle cakes, and peasebread – are available in a few select speciality stores in Gudbrandsdalen. However, none are as fresh as the products sold from our bakery outlet at Vinstra.

The secret behind a quality flatbread is good craftsmanship. Just ask one of the locals. For hundreds of years, the housekeepers in Gudbrandsdalen’s many smoke houses have kneaded dough for the perfect taste. At Øyens Hjemmebakeri we are proud to continue this tradition using grandmother’s recipes.
