Skåbu Mountain Lodge is a small and welcoming family-run hotel located in the idyllic village of Skåbu. Skåbu is Northern Europe’s highest mountain village, with plenty of culture, long fishing and hunting traditions, and local food production.

After a day in the fresh, clean mountain air, a meal in our welcoming restaurant – where the chef serves food based on local produce and Norwegian traditions – is a real treat. Our kitchen uses ingredients from Gudbrandsdalen, lamb from our own farm, and fish and game supplied by local hunters.

Skåbu mountain tapas can be ordered in advance, and comprises a selection of tastes from the mountain such as homemade salted and dried ribs of mutton – a delicious treat at the top of a peak, in a woodland shelter, on the hotel patio, or in our cosy lounge with open fire.

Skåbu Mountain Lodge offers accommodation in 11 new and elegant double room and 6 comfortable apartments.
