Valbjør Gard is set in an open landscape high above lake Vågåvatn, 5 km from the centre of Vågå. The farm enjoys a sunny location with views of snow-clad mountains in Jotunheimen. South-facing, and with fertile soil and easy access to mountain spring water from Reinheimen National Park, these are the ideal conditions for organic farming. 

In the shop are products like the farm’s own goat milk brie, “Fjellgeit Valbjør”, which tastes excellent together with honey and walnuts. A homemade goat sausage with 100% goat meat is also available. 

Valbjør Gard has a modern milk and meat production with 160 goats and active mountain dairy farming, and has offered organic produce since the early 1980s.

You can also stay the night at this protected farm with its many old notch-log buildings.
